She Gave Birth To 16 Pairs Of Twins, 7 Sets Of Triplets, 4 Set Of Quadruplets. – Details
Have you ever come across stories that will confuse you whether it’s true or false?. Well not all of them are false. As strange as they may sound, some are actually true.
This is Mrs Feodor Vassilyev, who was a peasant from Shuya, Russia. History has told us that between year 1725 and year 1765, this woman gave birth to 69 children (16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets). 67 of the children survived infancy, but she lost a set of twins.
She holds the world record for most children born by a single woman. Due to the fact that record keeping wasn’t as efficient back then like it is today, the actual dates of births and deaths of her children are not specified.
Mr Vassilyev her husband, also had another 18 children with his second wife. I don’t know but I feel that this man was trying to be the father of all nations. His second wife gave him 6 pairs of twins and two sets of triplets. This made him the father of a total of 87 children. At least 82 out of his 87 kids survived infancy. The data of the Vassilyev children is included in the Guinness Book of World records.
