Patrice Evra dismisses talk about Man City overtaking Manchester United

The Manchester derby is only hours away. Manchester United is determined to win to get level on points with the rivals of Man City.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be fully aware of what a loss could have in it, and what that could mean for him, too.

This would mean that we fall further behind the league leaders Chelsea who, have Thomas Tuchel in charge, appears to be a totally different team. This Champions League triumph in May is certainly not an accident but Pep Guardiola created Man City up to fail by not putting in as a holding midfielder. It was not like he didn't have a lot of options for options.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, however, the ex-Manchester United Left-back Patrice Evra has been asked if City's recent dominance of the Premier League could eventually lead to a change in power within Manchester.

"No means," Evra said as a former footballer who has always spoken with a lot of enthusiasm regarding United. "I have the same amount of Premier League titles as City. Only me! Where do they stand in the Champions League? They're far superior to United at the moment, but that's not a problem.

The past will not die. If they can achieve the Champions League it could be an entirely different story. But even reaching the level of Chelsea -They're not yet there. Only those who were born before PlayStation 5 came out [last year] will claim the City are the largest team in football. Everyone else? There's no way ."

Patrice Evra,

I'm not sure when in any case, and I'm now 26.

There's no reason to be worried about the future generations in the event that United does not put on their socks fast enough. The way the team was working in the days of Evra was quite different than the current one because of the way the Glazers have been milking the cash cow, taking their eye entirely off the essential aspects of a successful football club.

Many fans will be pointing to the manager at the moment and say that he's brought us here, but isn't the level to get our team to the next level, However, this is more than that.

Patrice Evra on whether the power shift between Man City and #mufc will become permanent: “No way. I have the same number of Premier League titles as City.

Just myself! And where is their #UCL? They are much better than United right now but it’s not a worry.”

“Only people born after the PlayStation 5 came out will say that City are the biggest club in the world. Everyone else? No way.”

“Paul [Pogba] doesn’t feel love at #mufc. Ex-players hate him.

Some fans don’t like his lifestyle so they hate him. I’m not defending him just because he is like my little brother, but people are harsh. Paul’s just a player in that team. He’s not United.”

“I’ve told him [Paul Pogba] that I’d like to punch his agent. He [Raiola] makes him look bad.”

When you look at that squad you know there is no longer an excuse. That’s why people now have a go at Ole.”
