22 Travellers Killed in Gunfire by Gunmen Returning From Muslim's New Year Program in Jos
Some Muslims were returning from the annual Zikr prayer held in Bauchi when they were attacked by Plateau attackers.
25 of the 92 travelers were killed by Jos North local government.
According to reports, the victims were buried in Dadinkowa cemetery.
On Saturday, gunmen attacked and killed some tourists in the Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State.
Jos was reportedly the destination for the sojourners, who ran into gunmen and opened fire.

He stated that they were returning from Bauchi, where they had attended an event to celebrate the Islamic New Year. Ibrahim stated that the event was held at Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Mosque in Bauchi state.
He stated that he ran into an armed gang in Gada-Biyu, Jos North's local government area. Legit.ng reports that ASP Ubah Gabriel (spokesperson of the Pleatue state Police Command) stated that security operatives were present in the area.
However, he said that he had yet to learn the details. Daily Trust reported that some victims were treated at the hospital, while others were referred by Jos University Teaching Hospital.

Davidson Malison was the spokesperson for Iregwe Development Association. He revealed that more than 250 houses had been razed within some communities of Miango chiefdom.
Malison said that 40 farms were destroyed in the region after the attack, which lasted more than four hours.
